UpTek Ops ("we," "us," "our") is a technology operations company based in Los Angeles, California. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit uptekops.com, use our billing portal, or engage our services.

What we collect

Contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

• Name - to address you in our response
• Email address - to reply to your inquiry
• Business name (optional) - to understand your needs
• Message content - the details of your inquiry

Billing and payments

When you become a client and pay invoices, we collect and process:

• Name and email - for invoicing and receipts
• Business name and address - for billing records
• Payment method - processed securely through Stripe (we never see or store your full card number)

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment status but do not have access to your full card details.

Service delivery

When we provide managed IT, cybersecurity, or other services, we may access:

• Account credentials - stored securely using encrypted secrets management
• System information - device types, software versions, network configuration
• Website content - text, images, and assets you provide for web projects

This information is used solely to deliver the services you requested.

Analytics data

We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how visitors use our website. PostHog may collect:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Browser type and device information
• Approximate location (country/region level)
• Referring website

PostHog is configured to anonymize IP addresses. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies only for analytics purposes. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. You can decline analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit, and your choice is remembered. You can also clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Send invoices and receipts
• Communicate about your account or ongoing services
• Improve our website and services based on aggregate analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-party services

• Stripe - payment processing, invoicing, and billing portal
• Cloudflare - website hosting and security (may log IP addresses for security)
• PostHog - website analytics (IP anonymization enabled)
• Google Workspace - email communication
• Doppler - encrypted secrets management for client credentials
• Resend - transactional email delivery for invoices and receipts

All fonts are self-hosted on our servers. No data is sent to Google Fonts or other font CDNs.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to fulfill legal obligations.

Billing records are retained for 7 years as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Analytics data is retained in aggregate form and does not contain personally identifiable information.

Client credentials and access information are deleted within 30 days of the end of our engagement, unless you request otherwise.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access - request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction - request correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion - request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out - decline analytics cookies or request we stop processing your data
• Portability - receive your data in a standard format

Do Not Track

We honor Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. When DNT is enabled, analytics tracking is disabled for your visit.

California residents

• Know what categories of personal information we collect
• Request deletion of personal information
• Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

We collect the categories listed above and do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
